Picasso Estate Collection

About this artist:

In 1962, at the height of his career, Pablo Picasso produced a notebook of images that demonstrates the greatness of his talent.  Upon his death, Picasso bequeathed his notebook to his granddaughter Marina Picasso.  Marina authorized the printing of these original lithographs, which have come to be known as the Picasso Estate Collection.  In 1980, these lithographs were meticulously created by Master Chromist Marcel Salinas, who worked closely with Picasso on the famous “Imaginary Portraits” series.  This estate was put together with numerous works never sold by Picasso during his lifetime.
Each print is signed and numbered in pencil by Marina Picasso and embossed with the estate and chromist’s seals, along with the legend on the reverse “Approved by the heirs of Pablo Picasso”.
